Well, it’s been quite a long time since I’ve written a blog. I just get carried away sometimes with the German life.
Around 2 weeks ago I had my last day of the nightly German class that I attended. Since it’s Christmas time, we decided to have a little Christmas party. We ate a lot of different cakes, cookies and other foreign foods (since we’re all foreigners).
Since my school’s first half-year is almost over, we’ve been taking a lot of tests. Between my last blog and now, we’ve taken a test in Math, Science, English, Geography/Politics, Music and Technology. And all of them were reviews of what we’ve learned so far this year.
On the 12th the choir I’m in sang at the Christmas Market here in Bietigheim. It was very nice.
After singing I went with my host-parents to the Bad-Wimpfen Christmas Market. It was really really nice.
800 year-old Tower!
On Monday I had to go to Ludwigsburg to pick up my camera that I left in America. They didn’t send it to the address where I’m living because they thought it was new and they wanted me to pay taxes on it. Luckily there were pictures in my camera and I explained my situation and everything turned out well. And on my way home I snapped a few pictures of Ludwigsburg.
Last night I went to the Bietigheim Sternlesmarkt (Bietigheim’s Christmas Market) with some friends.
We finally got our first snow this week and the weather has been in the upper 20s F. My parents are coming this Wednesday through the 9th of January to visit for Christmas. I’m really excited for them to see Germany.
Gruß McKinly
